The People team at XR is looking for a process-minded People & Culture Manager to join our People team. The ideal candidate will bring a high level of customer service, an analytical mindset, and the drive to help people have a great working experience.
The People & Culture Manager will be responsible for supporting the daily functions of the People department including maintaining people records, reporting, administrative support, compliance, responding to company policy inquiries, and providing employee relations support for both US & Canadian team members. As a member of the hub of the People team we are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and experience or exposure to all facets of Human Resources. The person in this role should be excited to have a broad range of responsibilities with the ability to pivot to support the needs of the organization and People team.

Job Responsibilities:
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute People programs including but not limited to maintaining people records, document creation, reporting, compliance & audit, data integrity, benefits administration, supporting the recruiting process, onboarding & offboarding, and responding to company policy inquiries.
- Partners closely with the People & Culture leadership team to execute operational processes and services with a focus on employee experience and data integrity
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Finance teams to track and update hiring plans for business groups, providing guidance on compensation, budget and job description creation
- Process people changes and terminations including document generation, notifications and system updates.
- Act as the first point of contact for team member questions. Escalate issues to other members of the People team, as needed.
- Assist the People & Culture leadership team with employee relations issues, partnering with managers to set up and monitor performance improvement plans.
- Assist with onboarding new team members including onboarding scheduling, system entry, paperwork validation, background checks and HR orientation & system training.
- Support and communicate core People processes to stakeholders, managers and team members.
- Identify and drive process improvement efforts, leveraging HR systems to automate and eliminate manual work where possible.
- Performs other projects or duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, and five or more years' progressive HR generalist experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Direct experience in one or more areas of HR, preferably People Operations or as an HR Generalist.
- Intermediate Excel experience, ability to interpret data using various Excel functions.
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable US employment laws and compliance requirements. Extra Points for candidates with global exposure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across business functions, and at all levels of the organization. Ability to navigate and adapt to communication style differences.
- Strong ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple demands.
- Excellent analytical skills and understanding of business concepts.
- High degree of professionalism, with ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate appropriate discretion.
- Ability to seek counsel and assistance when necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), HRIS and payroll systems.
- PHR or SHRM-CP strongly preferred.
