Title Reliability Specialist-Instrumentation & Electrical
The Reliability Specialist-Instrumentation & Electrical serves as the site's Subject Matter Expert to lead continuous improvement of instrumentation related reliability procedures, installation, maintenance practices, and technological advances opportunities at our client's location Baytown site.
Major Responsibilities:
• Lead continuous improvement of instrumentation related reliability procedures, installation, maintenance practices, and technological advances opportunities at the Baytown site
• Consult and assure a harmonized implementation of the Asset Strategy Management process for instrumentation in Baytown site including, spare parts management and asset maintenance
• Act as subject matter expert to I & E engineers and ensure use of application of our client's global standards, concepts, and workflows across the site
• Provide actionable reports from reliability records
• Work on teams with other Project, Maintenance ,and Asset Engineers, as well as trainers, procurement specialists and global reliability experts to identify key areas for reliability enhancements
• Provide oversight on investigating site-wide impact failures and other chronic issues with instrumentation and related systems
• Responsible for developing effective corrective actions to prevent the reoccurrence of site-impacting instrumentation failures
• Create and oversee the execution and progression of instrumentation reliability related site-wide projects
• Act as local partner for suppliers and service providers in field of expertise
• Support instrumentation reliability global initiatives and actively contribute to the local and global PCT Reliability working groups
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical engineering or related degree with minimum of 8 years of applicable experience OR a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related degree with 6+ years of applicable experience OR a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related degree with 3+ years of applicable experience, OR Associates degree in technical field and 15 years of applicable experience.
• Demonstrated experience in an industrial or chemical complex directly supporting a production unit/maintenance team
• Demonstrated knowledge of the maintenance, specifications and engineering of instrument (including control valves), electrical, functional safety and programmable systems
• Demonstrated experience in failure analysis and root cause analysis of reliability or operational issues developing sustainable corrective and preventative action plans
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience using analytic tools, e.g. Minitab, Matlab, Microsoft Excel
• Six Sigma certification
• Experience using SAP and InTools
• Knowledge of reliability software, such as Weibull ++, etc.
• Knowledge of or experience using data mining, statistical process control and physics-of-failures analysis
• Experience supporting Isocyanates units
• Demonstrated knowledge of process-related global regulations, standards and installation details

• Effective verbal and written communication abilities
• Demonstrated effective organizational, planning and analytical skills
