Role Summary:
The Service Dispatcher plays a critical role in coordinating and managing the maintenance and repair services for Northwell Health facilities and other healthcare-related sites. This role involves scheduling and dispatching technicians, monitoring service progress, and ensuring effective communication with healthcare facility managers. The Service Dispatcher is responsible for rigorous follow-up and follow-through to guarantee timely and efficient service delivery.

Pay Range:
$24.00 Per Hour - $32.00 Per Hour, depending on a combination of experience and education.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to incoming maintenance and repair requests from healthcare facilities, evaluating urgency and assigning priority levels to ensure that critical issues are addressed promptly
  • Efficiently schedule service appointments based on priority, technician availability, and geographic proximity.
  • Dispatch the appropriate technician to the site, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary tools and information to complete the job effectively.
  • Continuously track the status of ongoing service tasks. Maintain real-time updates on the progress of each service ticket, ensuring that technicians adhere to scheduled timelines and report any delays or issues to the Service Manager.
  • Accurately enter, edit, and update service tickets in the system. Maintain organized physical and digital records of all service requests, completed tasks, and technician assignments. Ensure that all records are easily accessible and up to date for review and reporting purposes.
  • Regularly communicate with healthcare facility managers to provide updates on service progress, estimated completion times, and any changes to the service schedule.
  • After service tasks are completed, verify that the work meets the required standards, and that the healthcare facility is satisfied with the results. Conduct follow-up calls or visits as needed to address any remaining concerns or additional service requests
  • Handle the entry, editing, and adjustment of remote code tickets, ensuring that all security protocols and access requirements are strictly followed.
  • Forward and un-forward phone lines daily, managing all incoming and outgoing communication efficiently. Ensure that all calls are answered promptly and routed to the appropriate personnel.
  • Provide administrative support to technicians, including coordinating with suppliers for parts and materials, ensuring they have the necessary resources to complete their tasks effectively.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 3-5 Years of experience in a similar role
  • Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent credits towards a four-year Bachelor's degree
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed on-site in an office environment.
  • The company business hours are 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday (exclusive of holidays).
  • Employees may be subject to some lifting to 10 lbs.
