Location:

Performing jobsite visits to work with various clients or their representatives at their locations for sales quotes and technology-based services. Partial time during a work week will need to be spent in the office in our Syosset, NY Headquarters, or Watermill, NY East End Office preparing sales quotes, processing customer contracts and paperwork, and other sales support tasks.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Representative with a strong background in equipment installation. The ideal candidate will leverage their hands-on experience to drive sales of cutting-edge technology solutions. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, customer relationship management, and a proven track record in sales. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, promoting the adoption of our advanced technology solutions, and driving sales growth.

Pay Range:

$80,000 Per Year - $100,000 Per Year, depending on a combination of experience and education, plus commissions.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize technical expertise to understand client requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Effectively communicate the technical features and benefits of products or services to potential clients.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to highlight key features and benefits for potential solutions.
  • Prepare detailed sales proposals to showcase the technical aspects and value proposition of our products or services.
  • Work closely with the sales support team to ensure timely and precise delivery of proposals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to Intelli-Tec technical staff to walk them through a project at the start of the job.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients through effective communication and ensure their accounts remain in good standing.
  • Light programming and troubleshooting for customer systems working in conjunction with the Intelli-Tec Remote Services team.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of Installation experience in the Security and CCTV industry. A focus on the following product lines would be highly beneficial to a potential candidate:
    • Avigilon access control and CCTV
    • Lenel OnGuard
    • Hanwha Wisenet
    • Digital Watchdog
    • Turing
  • Have a functional knowledge of networks and networking including:
    • Network configuration.
    • Accessing routers and port forwarding.
    • Installation and configuration of Applications on Smart Devices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Proficiency of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Solid organization and priority management skills.

Working Conditions:
  • Some work is performed in an office environment and various client locations for on-site sales visits.
  • Employees may be subject to some lifting to 50 lbs.
  • The company business hours are 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday (exclusive of holidays). Sales team members may be required to communicate with potential customers periodically outside of normal business hours.

Equipment:
  • Ability to use general office equipment.
  • Ability to use a laptop on remote sites for job duties.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
