The Life Extension 2 (LE2) team is an organization within the greater FBM program which supports the development of the Next Generation System by developing concepts, researching, and maturing technologies to support the development of the next FBM Missile System.Learn about the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile.We want you to support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program by joining the Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team as a Systems Integration Manager for the Test Missile product team. As the Systems Integration Manager for the next generation Test Missile Kit (TMK) on the FBM program, you will:• Manage the system integration effort supporting the Flight Termination, Tracking, and Telemetry IPTs, ensuring appropriate flow-down of systems and customer requirements and flow-up of verification evidence, thorough development and definition of interfaces, and successful integration of product information into the program lifecycle• Serve as the Full Spectrum Leader for the a diverse integration team supporting TMK which includes the TMK Responsible Systems Engineers as well as Mechanical, Electrical and RF Systems Integration Engineers• Oversee technical planning, system integration, range safety integration, verification and validation planning, risk assessments for the TMK• Oversee functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software requirements• Lead TMK Systems Integration efforts to include technical direction, planning, and staffing• Collaborate with government and customer representatives in support of critical space-based daily operations and distributed multi-element deliveries and activities• Provide guidance to a Systems Engineering team to include full Systems Engineering lifecycle processes, from architecture and requirements development through weapons system operations and integration• Establish, manage, and communicate team expectations, goals, roles, responsibilities, and objectives• Perform staffing and performance responsibilities; in coordination with HR and established processesYou can learn more about Lockheed Martin’s competitive and comprehensive benefits package by visiting this link.Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s or higher degree in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM), or significant evidence of equivalent understanding of STEM• Knowledge and application of Systems Engineering processes and Systems Integration functions including one or more of the following:a.) System trade studies and/or System modelingb.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) developmentc.) System Integration, Test and/or Verificationd.) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependenciese.) Design and Test Readiness Reviews• System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.)• Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, principles, and tools• Demonstrated ability to team across organizational boundaries and geographical locations to collaborate with and influence others• Knowledge of program management, finance, contracts, Earned Value Management (EVM) and demonstrated business insight• Active DoD Secret security clearanceDesired Skills:• Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, or relevant Graduate degree• Proven self-starter with demonstrated capability to proactively work through difficult technical, project and resource challenges• FBM or US Strategic Systems Experience• Missile/Space Weapons Systems Experience• 12+ years with spacecraft architecture design, development, integration, test, with broad based and in-depth knowledge of space, missile and launch systems at the component through system level• Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data• Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware/software products throughout the full lifecycle of the program• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering• System Architect Certification/Qualifications• Experience with one or more Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)/Model Based System Design (MBSD) processes, principles and tools (e.g. Cameo, Rhapsody, DOORS, STK, Creo)• Breadth of experience in a variety of agile practices (Lean, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc)• Experience using Agile Lifecycle Management tools (e.g. Jira, VerionOne, Rally, Etc.) • Experience with cost estimation generation, development of cost justifications, Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation. • Proposal preparation and negotiation• Strong full spectrum leadership with demonstrated experience, ability in leading teams, strong oral and written communication skills• Proven self-starter with demonstrated capability to proactively work through difficult technical, project and resource challenges• Active TS ClearanceSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: Top SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday offPay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
