Job Description

Position Overview: The Head of Growth and Brand Strategy will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of Storyful's growth initiatives, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. This leadership role will require a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and brand positioning to foster sustainable growth and enhance brand awareness across multiple channels. The Head of Growth and Brand Strategy will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that growth strategies are aligned with business objectives and are effectively implemented.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Growth Strategy Development: Develop and lead the execution of comprehensive growth strategies aimed at increasing customer acquisition, retention, and revenue. Identify new growth opportunities and innovative approaches to market penetration.
  • Brand Strategy: Create and lead the execution of brand, PR, and communications strategies that enhance brand awareness, customer acquisition, and customer engagement. Drive efforts to position Storyful as a market leader in the news and intelligence space, building a strong and trusted brand reputation across all channels.
  • Client Acquisition: Oversee client acquisition strategies across all channels, including digital marketing, partnerships, and content marketing. Collaborate with commercial leads to optimize the customer lifecycle from prospecting to retention and expansion.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to inform and adjust growth strategies. Monitor the performance of all growth channels, conducting experiments and optimizations to maximize impact.
  • Product and Market Fit: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with market needs and customer preferences. Drive strategies to enhance product-market fit and expand market reach.
  • Partnerships and Alliances: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances that align with growth objectives. Leverage these relationships to drive market penetration and brand visibility.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, sales, editorial and intelligence teams to ensure cohesive execution of growth strategies. Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation across departments.
  • Customer Retention: Develop and implement strategies to improve customer retention and loyalty. Focus on the entire customer lifecycle, from acquisition to retention and expansion.


Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in developing and executing growth strategies, with a focus on customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Proven success in leading brand strategy initiatives that enhance customer engagement and brand awareness across multiple channels.
  • Strong expertise in overseeing client acquisition, optimizing the customer lifecycle, and driving sustainable revenue growth through digital marketing, partnerships, and content marketing.
  • Proficiency in utilizing data-driven insights to inform and adjust revenue growth strategies, conducting experiments to optimize performance.
  • In-depth understanding of market dynamics, product-market fit, and customer behavior, with experience aligning growth initiatives with market needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances that support market penetration and brand visibility.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional collaboration with product, sales, and client delivery teams to execute cohesive growth strategies.
  • Proven ability to enhance customer retention and loyalty through targeted strategies that cover the full customer lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with the news, media, and marketing/ communications agency industries is highly desirable.

Pay Range: 175000 - 205000
