Job Summary
SUNY Upstate Medical Employee/Student Health Department is in search of a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to be responsible for providing and managing Employee/Student Health Assessments and Compliances.
Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
NYS Licensed/Registered NP.
Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice.
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.
CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior NP clinical work experience in occupational health to include managerial experience is highly desired.
Work Days
Monday - Friday, Days: Will work a total of 5 week days per 2-week pay period during department hours between 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

Primary worksite at Downtown Campus, with potential assignments at Community Campus as need requires.
Position is eligible for benefits at a .50 FTE part-time status.

- Perform Employee Health functions including pre-employment medical assessments for clearance to begin work assignments.
- Conduct Employee Health post-employment functions including annual health assessments.
- Medical evaluations for infection control surveillance and post-exposure follow-up.
- Contribute to health and wellness program development and facilitate implementation.
- Perform Student Health functions including pre-matriculation medical review, acute and routine care, health maintenance and counseling.
- Learning and Development Research evidence based medical protocols to facilitate efficient, cost-effective provision of care.
- Serve as a resource and assist Employee Health staff.
- Promote employee and student wellness through education.
