With a diversity of people, global locations, technologies and products, 3M is a place where you can collaborate with 96,000 other curious, creative 3Mers.This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs an Abrasive Sales Specialist for the Abrasives Systems Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.Here, you will make an impact by:Driving sales growth and customer retention to exceed sales forecast for Abrasives Systems Division products in the Industrial MarketplaceLeading collaboration efforts with local channel partners to execute push/pull programs generating market share gain for 3M Abrasive products.Developing customers and application processes to drive growth of the Abrasives & Tools portfolio.Collaborating with the Abrasives Division marketing, technical service, and leadership team to drive growth programs in the assigned geographySupporting Abrasive Division Business Development Team on strategic ASD growth initiativesManage and grow pipeline of opportunities, strategic planning for new opportunities, regular business reviews relative to priority markets, key end-user customers and channel partners in the geographyCompany VehicleThis position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this positionYour Skills and Expertise  To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of sales experience in aprivate, public, government or military environmentORHigh school diploma/ GED and ten (10) years of sales experience in aprivate, public, government or military environmentANDCurrent, valid Driver’s licenseAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Three (3) years of selling Abrasives and Tools in aprivate, public, government or military environmentProven expertise in Abrasives, tools, and related accessoriesExperience in Industrial market sales and distributionExperience with Abrasives & Tools specific to industrial safety regulations.Experience in managing complex multi-location key accounts.Experience negotiating contracts and price termsStrong track record of cross-functional collaboration to drive positive customer impactEffective CRM utilization to manage business plan attainment and territory managementAbility to lead a cross functional team to deliver customer driven sales resultsLocation: SE Texas, HoustonTerritory: Remote Based - responsible for Eastern Houston Metro and Western LouisianaTravel: May include up to 25% domesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
