The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a(n) Abrasives Systems Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Sales of Abrasives, Scotch Brites, and Power Tools
  • Understanding of customer processes and being able to sell "value versus price"
  • Working with distribution, end user specification, material approvals, making joint calls, and providing product training to customers
  • Driving forecast attainment for the zone/territory assigned
  • Daily usage of salesforce.com CRM system required


Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • One (1) year of field sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver's License


Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Three (3) years of outside sales experience
  • Three (3) years of experience in Industrial sales, such as Abrasives, Scotch Brite, Pressure Sensitive Tapes and/or Liquid Adhesives in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, or other CRM tool highly desired
  • Bi-lingual skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time or more Outstanding sales preparation and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a sales team environment - Creative problem solving abilities
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to show 3M value proposition through hands-on demonstration
  • Motivation to take an active role in self-development
  • Excellent computer skills


Work location:

Remote Sales- WA, MT & OR

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic overnight travel within the territory

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $85,839 - $104,914, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
