Learn more at appliedintuition.com.Please note that we are an in-office company, which means the expectation is that you would come in to your Applied Intuition office 5 days a week.About the roleAs a Software Security Engineer Engineer at Applied Intuition, you will play a crucial role in building and enhancing a secure platform for autonomy development. You will be responsible for building IAM systems and integrating cloud security best practices into our systems. Additionally you will develop tools and standards used by engineers across the organization to improve the security posture of our platform.You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure the security of our tools and products. At Applied Intuition, we encourage engineers to take ownership over technical decisions, interact closely with users and customers to collect feedback, and contribute to a thoughtful, dynamic team culture.At Applied Intuition, you will:Build product features that help our customers manage access and usage of their Applied Intuition softwareDesign and implement security processes and tools across major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) as well as on-premImplement and monitor security measures to protect internal and external systems, networks, and dataDevelop and implement procedures that are in compliance with legal and ethical standards and ensure that our customer data is protected and secureWe're looking for someone who has:3+ years of experience in software development in the security domainStrong understanding of modern secure software development best practicesExperience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform)Strong understanding of system security and data protectionExcellent problem-solving and collaboration skillsA Bachelor’s in computer science or related fieldNice to have:Proficiency in security best practices for Javascript, Python, Golang and C++ developmentExperience implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM) systemsUnderstanding of cloud infrastructure including networking, access control, IaaS, and SIEM toolsMaster degree focused on computer and systems securityCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or other relevant certificationsCompensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.Please reference the job posting’s subtitle for where this position will be located. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $125,000 - $222,000 USD annually.Don’t meet every single requirement?
