The Alexandria VA Medical Center in Alexandria/Pineville, LA, is seeking a compassionate, full-time, BC, MD/DO Physical Medicine & Rehab Physician to work in our PM&R Service. Highlights of this position include:
- Competitive Starting Salary $238,000 - $300,000
- Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm. NO CALL
- Provide care to approximately 12-20 outpatients daily in an outpatient setting, including diagnosis, care and treatment, as well as consultations to other services when requested
- Responsible for all facets of acute/chronic pain in ambulatory, hospital, or Community Living Center setting
- Will assist in completing quality management reviews
- Manage both medical and procedural based pain care, including MAT (suboxone)
- Regularly attends PM&R Service, and medical staff meetings, Pain Management member
- Supervise, teach, and coordinate teaching activities for PM& R related programs
Additional Requirements:
- Board Certified MD/DO
- Board Certified in Physiatry (PM&R)
- 5 years experience as a physiatrist
- Required: DEA X Waiver (certification for prescribing Suboxone)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
- Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
