Jorgensen Conveyor and Filtration Solutions is seeking someone to join our Purchasing Team, who under the direction of the Purchasing Manager, the Inventory Specialist maintains and tracks all parts, materials, supplies, and rejected materials, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

We need a team layer with a positive attitude, attention to detail, organized and strong communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the receipt of all incoming materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Unload incoming materials at the receiving dock using fork truck. Receive and inspect incoming materials for proper quantities, damage, correct items, etc. Complete all required paperwork. Notify quality assurance of incoming materials that require inspection. Notify purchasing and quality assurance of damaged stock of incoming materials.
  • Review packing slips to purchase orders through ERP system to ensure accuracy of parts ordered and resolve discrepancies with Purchasing in a timely manner.
  • Puts away incoming stock to proper locations and ensures all stocking locations are well-organized and clean; parts/bins are properly labeled and easy to find. Monitors primary and secondary stock locations to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Manage and executes Cycle Count Program. Run reports through ERP and physically counts/weighs parts on the cycle count program. Investigate count discrepancies and review with Purchasing Manager and other departments as required.
  • Purchasing Managers backup when out of the office. Contact suppliers and issue POs as needed.
  • Review BOMs on assigned job for parts in stock and/or on order for ETAs. Stage the assigned jobs by locating required parts and materials from inventory and deliver to workstations.
  • Prepare and pack parts orders for shipment. Provide the essential shipping details to the Shipping Department to complete shipment.
  • Deliver and pickup parts at Suppliers as needed.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Excellent detail orientation with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to organize/complete documents/projects in a timely manner and to work with minimal supervision.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED and one year of related experience. Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment helpful but not required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to complete receiving paperwork and basic correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations with drivers and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Requires the ability to obtain a forklift drivers certificate. Valid drivers' licenses.

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Jorgensen Conveyor and Filtration Solutions is seeking someone to join our Manufacturing Team, who under the direction of the Director of Manufacturing, evaluates and improves manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials and leads continuous improvement with a strong emphasis on maintaining and enhancing safety.

We need a team layer with a positive attitude, attention to detail, organized and strong communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Process improvement throughout manufacturing using Lean Principles

Develop work instructions for manufacturing processes and safety requirements

Uses cost reduction activities to ensure products are produced in the most cost-effective manner

Participate in decision of purchasing new capital equipment

Develop plant layouts to maximize product

Act as a technical resource to engineering, purchasing, vendors, subcontractors and suppliers

Maintain technical competencies and remain current in technology within industry

Work closely with technician on laser nesting and CNC equipment programming

Regularly review current production methods in laser and forming, and recommend areas of cost improvement

Education/Experience:

Requires an associate degree or two years of college with job related coursework, and on to three years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.

Experience with Microsoft Office

Experience with ERP Software

Solid math skills

Draftsight and Bysoft CAM/CAD program knowledge is a plus
