We are a talented, hardworking group that share values and characteristics that drive client, professional, and personal success. geocgi is looking for a GIS Analyst to assist a DoD client with GIS strategic planning, policy development, outreach, training, and program management support. The analyst will provide support for critical functions of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Installation Geospatial Information and Services (IGI&S) GEOFidelis Program Office and communicate with all levels of the Marine Corps (Headquarters, Regional Commands, and Installations). The GIS Analyst will work as part of a team that provides specialized programmatic support to the GEOFidelis Enterprise environment including Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE) standards, geospatial integration, and business requirements gathering. The GIS Analyst will be expected to communicate and coordinate with other staff and/or contractors, project management, DoD clients, and installation personnel. The candidate will execute the responsibilities of a GIS Analyst supporting geospatial program management functions as a part of a DoD IGI&S Program, which include:

- Data Model creation, support, and compliance.
- Evaluation, manipulation, and transformation of geospatial data into several DoD data models.
- Implementation of SDSFIE concepts across the GEOFidelis Enterprise environment.
- Communication of standards, methods, quality assurance/control processes, and metrics.
- Development of IGI&S policy, standards, white papers, training materials, and Standard Operating Procedure documents.
- Requirements gathering from a variety of USMC Functional Subject Matter Experts and installation personnel.
- Working with a wide variety of data sources including IGI&S installation data, HIFLD, OpenStreetMap, pdf's, Visio diagrams, Excel spreadsheets, and personal interviews to meet task objectives.
- Automation of tasks and procedures via various scripting languages.

The following are requirements of the GIS Analyst:
- Bachelor's in computer science, information technology, GIS, or a related field, depending on position level.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite including Excel and Access.
- Proficiency with Esri products including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS.
- Ability to work independently and proactively to take initiative to solve complex problems.
- Excellent written communication skills and documentation habits to include but not limited to; decisions, developed procedures, configuration, and/or custom scripts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
The following are desired capabilities and experience of the GIS Analyst:
- Knowledge of DoD and Federal GIS Data Standards and Policy, including SDSFIE, TDS, and GGDM.
- Experience in DoD IGI&S or other installation functional areas, and military working environments.
- Intermediate to advanced skills using Python to automate activities.
- Experience creating web-based applications and solutions in ArcGIS environments.
- GISP Certification
- Comp TIA Security+ Certification
