Who is the Manager, Credit Operations?

The Manager, Credit Operations role is responsible for administering Ingram Micro's Values in accordance with U.S. Credit Policies and Procedures by minimizing bad debt and maintaining an acceptable DSO. The Manager works with their team to target customers that are showing an increasing DSO and collaborate with the customer and internal partners to improve their payment habits.

Coordinates with internal departments to resolve billing disputes that may affect the ability to collect receivables. Reviews and makes recommendations regarding bad debt or write-offs. Investigates and analyzes credit risks, using available internet and credit agency tools and information. Develops and maintains relationships with outside credit agencies. Ensures procedures and internal controls are followed in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley initiatives.

Who is the successful Manager, Credit Operations

As a successful Manager, Credit Operations you drive an exceptional customer experience, effectively develop and coach your staff, build trusting relationships with external and internal customers, and possess strong understanding of accounts receivables and its impact on company results. Also, must have the confidence to make credit decisions that will affect Ingram's sales independently and/or make clear and concise recommendations to the Executive Leadership when decisions may impact the business.

The role requires you to be the following:
  • Support the company's sales growth initiatives and DSO matrix's, while maintaining acceptable levels of bad debt through collections, reconciliation, and dispute management.
  • Manage a team of Relationship Managers to accomplish the above objectives.
  • Work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Monitor the teams accounts receivables to ensure timely payments.
  • Resolve challenges by implementing efficiencies and optimizing work processes.
  • Follow through on commitments and make sure others do the same. Act with a clear sense of ownership.
  • Provide guidance and delegate to get the work, task or job completed.
  • Establish an environment where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives.
  • Maneuver comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics.
  • Knowledge of the full suite of financial solutions partners have access to and ability to collaborate with Credit Development when a customer may benefit from one of them.
  • Leverage relationships with internal/external customers.
  • Instill trust in the team and organization through honestly, hard work, and integrity.

  • Ability to communicate complex issues effectively and precisely in a concise and logical manner (written and verbal)
  • Strong negotiation and collaboration skills required

Requirements:
  • Associates degree with a focus on business or related field
  • 3-5 years of management experience or 8-10 years of general business experience or equivalent combination of education and experience


The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $80,400.00 - $136,700.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
