Job Title: Operations Intern - Prep Baseball Tournaments
Location: Cortland, NY
Duration: Memorial Weekend-Early/mid August
Compensation: $200/week; Housing included.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Operations Intern to join our team for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will gain valuable experience in the sports management industry, working closely with our tournament operations team to help organize, execute, and manage baseball tournaments. This internship is an excellent opportunity to learn the ins and outs of running large-scale sports events while making a tangible impact on the success of the tournaments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day event operations, including logistics, scheduling, and team registration.
- Provide on-site support at tournament venues, ensuring smooth event execution.
- Coordinate with vendors, staff, and volunteers to maintain high operational standards.
- Help prepare tournament materials (e.g., schedules, rosters, scoreboards, team packets).
- Assist with managing tournament brackets, team communications, and game-day logistics.
- Support the customer service team by addressing participant and spectator inquiries.
- Help with setup and breakdown of tournament facilities, ensuring readiness before and after games.
- Aid in maintaining accurate records of event results and feedback.
- Work with the marketing team to promote upcoming events and communicate with participants.
- Other administrative and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university with a focus on Sports Management, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Passion for baseball and youth sports.
- An understanding of baseball rules and gameplay.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Google platforms (Docs, Sheets) and general office technology.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and long hours during tournament weekends.
- Previous event planning or sports operations experience is a plus, but not required.
