VP Finance Accounting - VPFIN006444-00001 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for all financial analysis and accounting services for High Real Estate Group (HREG) and its holdings. The real estate portfolio consists of investment grade multi-family, commercial, retail and hospitality assets. Additionally, the management company provides property/asset management, development, brokerage, building, grounds and construction services. The position manages a group of 15 co-workers ensuring appropriate resource allocation, setting of priorities and professional development of those co-workers. The position also provides vision on the technology roadmap and is a key player in its execution.In addition, the position acts as a key business partner to the HREG COO and CFO to bring issues, ideas, analysis and recommendations. Clear, concise communication both verbally and in visual presentation is required. The position manages the following three key areas of the business: Accounting and Reporting: * Oversight of the monthly financial close and reporting cycle for each legal entity. Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of financial records * Collaborates with Tax department to support tax compliance * Responsible for external audit execution including managing relationship with audit firm, scheduling, organization of information requests, adoption of new accounting pronouncements or new developments requiring research, and reporting out to Audit Committee * Foster business partnership with operational leaders for each asset class, providing insights into areas for financial improvement * Oversight and management of financial reporting to management and Board which includes various views (entity, asset class and ownership level). Requires knowledge of consolidation accounting Transactional Analysis and Support: * Manage and support Financial Analysts who perform all underwriting of acquisitions, developments and dispositions * Financial business partner for asset class leaders, support deal structure, entity formation, and capital formation strategies * Collaborate in the preparation of and responsible for review of Investment Committee materials * Provide support for financings and refinancing's * Responsible for project cost tracking and reporting Financial Planning and Analysis: * Manage the budget and forecast processes and related reporting * Manage the annual valuation process for all real estate holdings * Responsible for the financial modeling to support the annual strategic planning process which provides cash sources and uses and return projections for the various stakeholders spanning a five year period * Act as liaison between management and Family Office Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
