This individual will directly lead and manage the Genesis Training team to deliver education through a variety of modalities (web-based, live, experiential) across several subject matters (product, process, soft skills, brand, etc.) to improve sales, loyalty, ownership retention, and employee retention. The role will be data driven in understanding the needs of our retailers and employees as well as being proactive in initiating short- and long-term solutions within training and education.Major ResponsibilitiesLead, evolve, and modernize the Genesis training universe to effectively educate retailers and employees on Genesis vehicles and services, retail processes, hospitality, soft skills, and more.Create and implement a multi-year strategy and roadmap to improve sales and service satisfaction as well as grow sales, loyalty, owner retention, and employee retention.Oversee the design, development, and update of training materials, modules, and resources tailored to the specific needs of all retailer job roles.Implement and adapt global training materials to meet local market needs.Analyze performance data and satisfaction scores to refine training approaches and drive improved engagement and retention from network.Regularly identify and develop comprehensive training opportunities in short- and long-term formats.Consistently collaborate with Customer Experience team to ensure alignment with process guides, resources, and required training for all retailer job roles.Partner with Genesis global headquarters, HMNA, GMA sales and service divisions, retailers, and partners, and key stakeholders to support and education across strategic initiatives.Major Responsibilities (continued)Participate in CX and Training industry events / forums and benchmark competitors to identify, select, and incorporate innovative processes and programs.Successfully plan, forecast, and track the training group’s budget.Effectively hire, train, motivate, develop, and retain staff. Utilize the diverse talents of direct reports by efficiently managing time, materials and budget while focusing on the goals and vision of the company.Consistently act in the best financial interest of Genesis while providing the highest level of support to retail partners and customers through the products and services offered.Partner with Purchasing and Legal Departments to ensure department and vendor operations remain within the best financial, economic, and intellectual interest of the company.Complete ad hoc assigned tasks as needed to support Sub-division objectives.AuthorityDirectly manage the Training team as applicable; conduct regular performance evaluations of direct reports, where applicable; develop employee business focus and plans for direct reports for the year ahead.Approve all time off, training, expense reporting, and miscellaneous spending for the Training Department, as applicable.Approve and oversee all program and vendor activities within the Training group; review/approve all purchasing, contracts, budget, and billing services for vendor programs.Education~ Must be a high school graduate~ Bachelor’s degree preferred~ Master’s degree a plusRelated ExperienceAt least ten years of automotive experience with emphasis on OEM Customer Experience, Sales, Service, and Training. At least five years leadership in marketing and customer support.At least five years of supervisory experience desired.
