- Very hands-on approach to financial modeling, reporting, and business metrics, the buck stops with you as it relates to finance.
- Preparing and owning the Financial Model - 3-year plan, updating regularly for CEO and board members.
- Having strong relationships with venture capital firms and bankers in order to raise capital/funding, if needed.
- Work closely with the CEO and leadership team on strategy, roadmap, and targets for the business, and advise on hiring decisions and market opportunities.
- Define and track critical success metrics and KPIs of the business, collaborating with other divisions to address them.
- Run regular in-depth analysis of financials to gain key insights and ensure accuracy.
- Experience in mergers & acquisitions and financial due diligence for any prospective acquisitions.
- Assist the investor relations team with key financial deliverables and ad-hoc requests.
Professional Competencies and Skills
- Degree in finance, accounting, or related field with 12 -15 years of experience in accounting.(MBA or CPA preferred).
- Experience in the Marketing technology or Ad Tech or SAAS industry is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, building and updating financial models.
- Experience in exiting mid-sized or large businesses and handling the entire process of exit.
- Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP.
- Experience in private equity financial reporting, integrating acquisitions, diligencing acquisitions and have been through multiple exit processes.
- Extensive financial statement modeling experience.
- Hands-on experience in SQL and Coding is a plus
- Must have Knowledge of US, UK, Canada and Australia laws and compliance requirements.
- Spreadsheet skill set to include advanced functions such as graphics/charts and pivot tables.
- Working knowledge of accounting transactions in Quickbooks and Xero.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience working in a startup environment and technology company is a plus.
- Must be able to work primarily between the hours of 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM ET
