A facility is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in Red Bluff, California. The position is for an outpatient clinic with hours Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, followed by night call and 24-hour remote call coverage Friday through Sunday. The average daily census is 15-21 patients, with 3/4 of appointments on the MD schedule and 1-2 new patients per day. The role involves overseeing all aspects of diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment for hematology/oncology patients. The MD will also oversee the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services, which require the MD onsite for all treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood/platelet transfusions, hormone therapy, antibiotic therapy, rheumatoid arthritis injections, and therapeutic phlebotomies.
