About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Finance to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key support to the CEO and will be responsible for a range of financial activities, including monthly close, GAAP financial reporting, internal and funder reporting and compliance, and assisting with budget preparation and analysis. The VP of Finance will also be involved in risk management, and assessing and implementing improvements to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. The role requires a professional with a strong background in GAAP accounting and reporting within a nonprofit organization, particularly in the human services sector. Experience with internal controls, excellent communication skills, supervisory experience, and the ability to collaborate across the organization are essential. Familiarity with various state funding sources is also a requirement, and a CPA and MBA are considered advantageous. Applicants for the VP of Finance position at the company should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A CPA and MBA are preferred. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in financial management within a nonprofit setting, particularly in the areas of GAAP accounting, internal controls, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have very good communication skills, supervisory experience, and the ability to work effectively with all parts of the organization. Experience with various state funding sources is a must. The VP of Finance will play a critical role in the organization, and as such, a high level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the mission of the organization is expected.
