About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Finance to oversee and manage all financial functions, including accounting, payroll, financial operations, internal controls, and policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and implementing financial management policies, ensuring compliance with accounting practices, and leading strategic financial planning. This role involves acting as a business partner to the CEO and senior leadership, engaging with the Board Finance Committee, and mentoring and developing the finance team. The VP of Finance will also be involved in resource development, seeking and securing financial support, and managing the organization's assets and investments. Applicants for the VP of Finance position at the company should have a minimum of ten years' experience in a senior financial management role, with a strong background in nonprofit accounting and fund and grant management. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is required. The ideal candidate will have a diverse work experience in both nonprofit and corporate settings, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of strategic financial management. Experience with capital campaigns, bond management, and managing investments is preferred. The role demands a professional with excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, who can build positive relationships and is adept at mentoring and coaching a team.
