Summary: As a member of the Martin's Family, the Marketing Intern assists in planning and implementing ongoing activities to support organizational marketing and sales initiatives including communications, social media, and marketing to create and enhance sales. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Assist in monitoring company website and social media profiles for necessary corrections, updates, content and broken links; maintain website and social media sites as necessary. Create updates for marketing and organizational communications across a variety of channels; maintain contact lists. Maintain archives for industry updates, company mentions, and competitive data. Research marketing trends, product information, industry trends and/or competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintain research databases. Assist in the implementation of marketing campaign and company initiatives through development of materials, content development, communication execution and support with ad campaigns. Assist department personnel with meeting preparation and event preparation and management; maintain databases and shared files; preparing reports. If needed, participate in events such as trade shows, festivals, marketing releases, launch events and press meetings. Other duties as assigned. Education and/ or Experience: Pursuing a degree in Marketing or related field from an accredited college/university Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: Knowledge of and experience working with personal computer hardware, printers, peripherals, and telecommunications equipment including fax machines and modems.
