Psychiatry - Geriatrics Physician

Job Details: * Position Title: Physician- Psychiatry * Location: Iowa * Region: East Iowa * Position Type: 1099 Locums * Start Date: 01/06/2025 * End Date/Need: 07/31/2025 * Compensation: $210 /hr Schedule: * Shifts: Days Shifts, Mon-Sun (8am - 5pm) * Weeknight call and weekend call is possible. * 7 days on/7days off Description: * Practice Setting: Inpatient Psych * Patient Per shift: 5-12 * Department Beds: 18 adults, 5 adolescents * EMR: Cerner * Credentialing Time frame: 60-90 days * Rotate coverage with the Physician. * Physicians will work on Inpatient Psych (adult unit and adolescent unit), Hospital Consults, ER Consults, supervising APPs, * Provider will round in the morning, and every third day * Will take a turn managing all hospital calls/consults, etc. * How Many Psychiatrists in Your Group: 1 part-time inpatient right now * How Many Advanced Practice Providers Support Your Group: 2 * Trauma Level: Level-III Treatment Disorders: Anxiety Disorders, Affective Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Personali ty Disorders, Eating Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Organic Disorders Required to have familiarity with: Family Therapy, Restraint Application, Group Therapy, Pharmacotherapy, Secl usion therapy, Voluntary Commitments and ER Requirements: * Inpatient Psych Experience, 2+ years preferred * Board Certification: Must be Board Certified * License: Iowa State License or IMLC Licensed * Experience in treating patients ages 6 and up
