Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Facility is looking for a Locum Psychiatrist to start on January 6 and work 7 days on/7 days off! Specialty : Psychiatry Start date : 01/06/2025 ; End date : 07/31/2025 Coverage type: Call + Clinic SCHEDULE : * Monday - Sunday * Monday-Sunday (8am - 5pm) * Weeknight call and weekend call is possible. * Schedule: MUST work 7 days on/7 days off and rotate coverage with the Physician. * Need will be for January 6 - July 2025. * Provider will round in the morning, and every third day they will take a turn managing all hospital calls/consults, etc. (during shift hours) JOB DESCRIPTION : * Inpatient Psych (adult unit and adolescent unit), Hospital Consults, ER Consults NOT OPEN TO TELEHEALTH * Will supervise APP * Will take Call * Average Number of Patients Per Day: 5-12 * Total Number of Beds: 18 adults, 5 adolescents * How Many Psychiatrists in Your Group: 1 part-time inpatient right now * How Many Advanced Practice Providers Support Your Group: 2 * How Many Psychologists: Zero, inpatient * Documentation System/EMR: Cerner * Trauma Level/Designation III * Referral/Transfer Protocol: University of Iowa, 40 minutes by car * Safety/Security Measures in Place: security on each campus * Not accepting visa candidates SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS : * Board Certified in Psychiatry - REQUIRED (Not accepting BE) * Must be able to work 7 days on/7 days off - REQUIRED (Notate availability at name clear) * IA license or IMLC - REQUIRED * Inpatient experience - REQUIRED * Experience in treating patients ages 6 and up - REQUIRED * State experience with conditions/treatments: Anxiety Disorders, Affective Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Organic Disorders, Family Therapy, Restraint Application, Group Therapy, Pharmacotherapy, Seclusion therapy, Voluntary Commitments, ER - REQUIRED * 2+ years of inpatient psych experience - highly preferred (list years of experience with IP Psych at time of name clear)
