About the Team
Our platform is the core solution for our client to share, discover, and access data across the organization providing a centralized and governed location for managing data compliance, entitlements, and access. The Operational Analytics team is responsible for the efficiency and health monitoring of our data platform, empowering users to make informed decisions around multiple metrics, including cost management, data efficiency, usability and accessibility. Our exciting team fosters a strong engineering culture where problem-solvers and innovators have direct influence on product success. We are a tight-knit group who rapidly deliver high quality software to enable teams to build data pipelines that are secure, reliable, and scalable for our customers with efficiency and automation. What You'll Do
Data Analysts are responsible for the design, development and maintenance of data pipelines and visualization tools that are powered by our Platform. You will collaborate with business owners to develop the necessary tables and views as well as the visualization tools needed to reflect and communicate key metrics aiming to increase our internal knowledge around operational metrics related to the Platform. You will be challenged with identifying and implementing best practices and optimization opportunities, effectively sharing actionable information and setting goals that drive efficiency and visibility around core operational metrics, data privacy, and data management.

What You'll Do
Data Analysts are responsible for the design, development and maintenance of data pipelines and visualization tools that are powered by our Platform. You will be challenged with identifying and implementing best practices and optimization opportunities, effectively sharing actionable information and setting goals that drive efficiency and visibility around core operational metrics, data privacy, and data management.
- Build data pipelines and required data frameworks to support reporting tools using Snowflake and DBT.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable visualization reports using PowerBI aimed to monitor key operational metrics including data health, quality, accessibility and more.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions including organization and architecture changes.
- Build and maintain the necessary AWS cloud infrastructure as needed for data ingestion processing and secret management.
- Empower team leaders to implement best practices, standards, and frameworks through actionable data reporting.
- Develop and continuously enhance the Data Platform operational data strategy including KPIs, alerts, to help team leaders identify improvement opportunities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and consumption, ensuring tool stability and performance.
- Effectively communicate reporting strategy and new tools to leadership ensuring quick integration and enabling fast and efficient decision making.
What You'll Bring:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Strong understanding of ETL best practices, data integration, data modeling, and data transformation.
- Experience working with DBT cloud or DBT core.
- Hands-on experience with industry standard dashboard design tools like PowerBI (preferred) or Tableau.
- Proficiency in Python or another object-oriented programming language.
- Experience working with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, particularly Snowflake.
- Strong understanding of cloud platform technologies (AWS - preferred / Azure / GCP).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and tools, with proficiency in GitHub.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements to measurable metrics and a relevant data architecture
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
- Knowledge of streaming data processing technologies (e.g. Confluent Cloud).
- Familiarity with data modeling and database design.
