The UCSF Program Management Office (PMO) seeks an exceptional professional to join our highly skilled and engaged team providing internal consulting services to our dynamic, mission-driven institution. The Change Manager provides expert change management and project management services for Flexible work project. The PMO staff enjoy challenging and impactful project work, professional development opportunities, and an 50% telework and 50% on site for the duration of this project.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $132,000 - $204,000 (Annual Rate).

The UCSF PMO is an internal business advisory unit providing consulting services to the UCSF campus, led by the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Strategy & Business Transformation. The PMO works with university leaders and staff in academic and administrative departments to implement both campus-wide and unit-specific operational improvements. The PMO's consulting services include strategic planning and program design, project management, process improvement, enterprise systems implementation, organizational improvement, and change management. PMO staff possess sound strategic thinking, facilitation, and consulting skills that guide the organization towards collaboratively identified, workable solutions. - Provide leadership and direction on change management for assigned projects.
- Apply a structured change management methodology, assess change readiness, conduct change impact analyses, and lead change management strategy development.
- Create and manage change groups/networks for projects as appropriate.
- Coach people managers, supervisors, and project leaders as appropriate.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure integration of change management activities into overall project and program plans
- Define and measure overall success metrics and monitor change progress.
- Support and enable the design, development, delivery, and management of key communications.
- Implement change management activities; collaborate with project team members and other stakeholders to ensure effective execution of change plans.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related Organizational Change, Business Administration, or related area and /or equivalent experience/training. Advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience and track record of providing change management services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools. Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of the people side of change to support successful business outcomes in the implementation of large, complex projects.
- Advanced knowledge of the consulting process to effectively lead engagements from inception to conclusion.
- Demonstrated advanced analytical, problem-solving, project planning, and implementation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts.
- Ability to apply change management in implementing programs
- Ability to establish and manage project change networks and governance groups. Excellent facilitation skills and ability to facilitate complex and controversial topics.
- Ability to assess needs and design services/programs to meet those needs. Demonstrated capacity to anticipate obstacles and plan for contingencies; demonstrated ability to determine relevance and prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrates skill in consulting with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to focus on priorities, strategies, and vision.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, reason, synthesize, and generalize based on information obtained. Sound judgment, ability to draw unbiased conclusions.
- Ability to coach, facilitate, and influence people at all levels. Ability to persuade through both logic and appeal to positive motivations. Demonstrated ability to lead team with minimal input from supervisor.
- Ability to interpret and communicate, both verbally and in writing, complex information in a clear
- and concise manner. Superior written, verbal and presentation skills for influencing and facilitating sustained change.

Preferred Qualifications
- Procsi Certified Change Manager
- Knowledge of the organizational environment of higher education, large research universities, and/or academic medical centers to understand client issues, motivations and constraints.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean continuous improvement methodology to assess, design, and implement organizational improvements
- Knowledge of management consulting field, theories, and models to assess, design, and implement customized, strategic organization interventions.
