General Summary:
Landis + Gyr is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Project Manager to lead customer delivery projects in the smart grid space. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of all stages of standard project lifecycle delivery and have demonstratable experience executing multiple complex projects within a waterfall or agile methodology. The Project Manager will be working with cross functional teams to ensure projects are launched on time and completed within budget.
The project manager is responsible for leading a team of project professionals through all aspects of planning, initiation, and execution of Landis+Gyr deployment projects. The role is accountable for customer satisfaction which is driven by strong execution of contract(s) to deploy technical smart grid solutions for customers. The Project Manager will manage multiple projects and will have oversight responsibilities for matrixed project teams and assigned resources. Significant time will be spent working closely with the customer to develop project plans, schedules, program management plans, deployment plans, materials forecasts, and other plans in support of the contract. The role requires significant leadership, and the individual will be seen as a leader and proven mentor as well as someone who is a trusted, collaborative partner with our customers while managing customer expectations.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, control, and coordinate the activities of a project team to produce deliverables agreed upon with customer contracts and project plans.
- Manage the project(s) and execute activities around the boundaries of scope, schedule, risks, and cost.
- Utilize the PMO's established project delivery procedures and processes to deliver against requirements for contracted projects.
- Report project status to the PMO and other stakeholders.
- Work within a stage-gate methodology
- Manage external, internal, and capital project costs
- Scrum management and metric analysis for Agile projects
- Represent the Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both external and internal customers
- Support and adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
Education and Experience (include required Certifications, if any):
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-7 years' experience in project management leading technical or construction projects.
- Experience in utility, telecommunications, or similarly regulated industries is a plus.
- PMP Certified (PMP or CPM) or on track to get within the next year
- Strong working knowledge of waterfall and or agile project methodology
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent understanding of project management scheduling SW tools (Microsoft Project preferred)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, & listening).
- Understands how to measure audience and craft communications to meet their needs.
- Uses listening skills to completely understand tough situations and help resolve them
- Excellent leadership qualities and the ability to make decisions without perfect information
- Ability to positively influence others without direct authority in efforts to move assigned projects forward
- Strong ability to resolve conflicts between members of both the internal and external project team or as needed throughout the organizations
- Excellent organizational abilities are needed as multiple projects will be assigned
- Excellent change management skills. Ability to accept change and respond to setbacks with minimal disruptions
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies.
- Strong negotiating skills for working with stakeholders
- Ability to travel as needed to support project activities.
- Experience managing remote teams in different time zones
- Ability to travel up to 50%
