Clinical Onsite Trainer
The Omnicell Clinical Onsite Trainer will serve as Omnicell's implementation education and solutions consultant. The Clinical Onsite Trainer provides preceptor education and clinical workflow support for internal and external customers throughout North America. Partnering with the professional services organization, this position develops customer relationships, conducts customer workflow analysis, and recommends education and troubleshooting strategies, when needed, to help resolve customer issues.

Clinical Onsite Trainer
The Omnicell Clinical Onsite Trainer will serve as Omnicell's implementation education and solutions consultant. The Clinical Onsite Trainer provides preceptor education and clinical workflow support for internal and external customers throughout North America. Partnering with the professional services organization, this position develops customer relationships, conducts customer workflow analysis, and recommends education and troubleshooting strategies, when needed, to help resolve customer issues.
Responsibilities
- Ensure successful clinical adoption of Omnicell solutions
- Lead preceptor education sessions for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare users
- Provide consultative advice on education and solution best practices
- Perform workflow analysis, provide consulting on workflow changes that need to occur with the implementation of new functionality and solutions
- Validate adoption post-go-live to resolve gaps or outstanding issues.
- Conduct live, in-person, onsite or remote training sessions for pharmacy, nursing, and anesthesia
- Design and prepare role-based education plans to support the specific solutions being implemented
- Coordinate logistics with department managers such as scheduling participants, tracking attendance, and developing assessment tools to best evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs.
- Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, job aids and manuals
- Configure training environment to prepare users for use in the classroom
- Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their results
- Provide input to new hire training and ongoing user training during system changes and upgrades
- Implement training program at customer locations to provide sustainable training model
- Provides Best Practice recommendations
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to measure and evaluate staff training needs
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and prioritization skills
- Being self-motivated
- Maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate clinical hours for training
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to train on multiple product lines (e.g. AWS, XT, Rx or RN).
- Skilled in delivering draining on differentiators (e.g. SinglePointe, Anywhere RN, etc.).
- Can act as preceptor for new COT staff at customer sites.
Required Qualifications
- Clinical experience in pharmacy and/or nursing
- 5 years of demonstrated clinical education/consulting experience in acute/non-acute settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in nursing, pharmacy, or other allied health field
- Experience with Omnicell products and solutions
- Certification as an Omnicell preceptor instructor
- Project management experience
Work Conditions:
- Position is field-based.
- Position requires 85% or more overnight travel.
- Will require long periods of both sitting, standing, and staring at computer screens.
