THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager, the Process Controls Engineer will:
- Provide support, as needed, to control systems across the site for reliable 24/7 operation of production assets.
- Design and commission control systems using Allen-Bradley PLC hardware and software.
- Develop and implement plans to maintain and upgrade plant controls and electrical infrastructure (software, servers, processors, IO hardware, plant instrumentation, switches, workstations, etc.).
- Cross-functionally collaborate on identification and development of controls.
- Maintain accuracy and reliability of plant controls documentation.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The right candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail and be known for possessing solid technical skills. Your credentials ideally include:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of manufacturing or related experience.
- Electrical drafting experience.
- Ability to program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and other programmable equipment, as well as understand and support complex operation with sophisticated machinery and a technically challenging process.
- Experience with high hazard processes and process safety management.
- Experience with SCADA software platforms.
- Ability to take on assignments that require occasional on-call support
- Experience with management and implementation of capital projects
