Business Development Director

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Input and collaborate on development of agency growth plans including building and maintaining prospect target list, campaign strategy, and outreach/CRM
  • Active outreach and relationship building with marketing executives, potential partner agencies, and community influencers to expand our network and build our pipeline
  • Lead outbound prospecting/outreach to key targets, including development of sales strategy, pitch materials, meeting content, and follow up plans
  • Work with discipline leads to productize offerings and develop corresponding marketing/sales materials
  • Develop content/outreach for agency search consultants
  • Play a lead role in new business pitches, including:
    • Crafting capabilities decks, RFP responses, and case studies to effectively
      communicate our unique selling proposition
    • Research and market analysis to help hone pitch strategy and positioning
    • Work collaborative with a cross-functional agency team to develop pitch content
    • Lead teams in development of pitch presentations and manage logistics
    • Partner with dept leads in development of scoping/pricing proposals


Marketing:

  • Lead execution of marketing plan that aligns with the agency strategic vision and business development goals
  • Lead content development and management of Trade School's brand touchpoints, including: agency website, social channels, paid campaigns, case studies, videos, and other sales materials
  • Partner with PR resource and cross-functional agency team to drive brand visibility in media, thought leadership, speaking engagements, and awards
  • Identify and execute opportunities for involvement in Atlanta community via partnerships, events, and sponsorships to continue raising our profile
  • Partner with HR to ensure employer branding materials are consistent and up to date
  • Keep us ahead of how competitors, and aspirational brands, are showing up in press outlets and on event stages, in social media, and on their website
  • Help Trade School evolve our story in the marketplace, and how/where we show up


Qualifications:

  • Entrepreneurially spirited, resourceful, self-starter, critical thinker and problem solver
  • Excellent collaborator and cross-functional team leader
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Able to build and cultivate relationships with industry peers, industry community, executive level new business prospects and cross-functional internal teams across all levels
  • Ability to think strategically, craft brand/sales narratives, and be meticulously detailed
  • Highly organized and efficient; ability to multitask, work against tight deadlines, and are cool under pressure.
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, sales, or business development
  • Strong understanding of the digital marketing and advertising industry
  • Proficient with social media channels, content creation, CRM tools and best practices, and deck development (Google Slides and keynote).
  • Must be local to Atlanta metro area and able to attend local events and meetings on an as-needed basis at our Trade School office and Studios
