Brief Job Summary: The Director - Employee Relations will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the employee relations strategy for NVA GP. This is a newly created role that will play a critical part in shaping the company's approach to employee relations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment across NVA GP. The Director, Employee Relations will lead a team focused on resolving employee issues, developing policies, and fostering a culture of fairness, respect, and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work cross-frunctionally to develop and execute a comprehensive employee relations strategy aligned with NVA GP's mission, values, and business objectives.
• Mitigate NVA GP's employee relations risks, rolling out new initiatives, and managing all employee relations matters.
• Establish clear protocols for handling employee concerns, investigations and disciplinary actions.
• Collaborate with HR Compliance and Legal teams to develop, update, and communicate employee relations policies and needed practices.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies and procedures, recommending improvements as needed in partnership with HR Compliance and Legal.
• Oversee and manage the resolution of complex employee relations issues, including investigations of harassment, discrimination, and other workplace concerns.
• Provide guidance and support to HR Business Partners and managers on conflict resolution and performance management.
• Develop resources and tools to support managers in handling employee relations issues effectively.
• Build and lead a high-performing Employee Relations team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for not just the Employee Relations team but also HR Business Partners.
• Utilize data and analytics to identify trends, assess the impact of employee relations initiatives, and make data-driven decisions.
• Develop and foster strong relationship with legal, compliance and HRBP's.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 - 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus in Employee Relations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement employee relations strategies that align with organizational goals
• Experience in a multi-location organization, preferably in healthcare, veterinary services, or a similar industry
• In-depth knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, and other federal, state, and local employment laws
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization
• Significant experience directly handling and providing guidance on a variety of human resources compliance matters required
• Proven track record of delivering pragmatic solutions to employee relations problems and resolving disputes effectively and efficiently
• Proven experience in managing complex employee relations issues and conducting workplace investigations

Compensation:

The total cash compensation range (including base salary and opportunity for bonus) is $149,500 and $172,500. This position is eligible for benefits and long term incentives.
