Solenis LLC is seeking a Principal Scientist for its office in Wilmington, DE: Participate in research projects directed toward the development of novel aqueous systems of hydrophobic materials (emulsions and dispersions) for applications in papermaking systems, especially the sizing of paper with an emphasis on internal sizing. The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, or a related field, and five years' progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or any related occupation, to include: 5 years' experience working with the papermaking process; 5 years' experience making alkyl ketene dimer (AKD) and alkenyl succinic anhydride (ASA) emulsions; 5 years' experience making rosin emulsions; and 5 years' experience working with colloid stabilization systems. Hybrid work from home schedule is permitted. Employee must live within commuting distance of the Solenis Research Center in Wilmington, Delaware. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training. Experience may have been gained concurrently.
