Position Title: Project Engineers
Job Location: Chicago, IL
Project Engineers for Chicago, IL location. Perform site evaluations and prepare field survey reports. Prepare Basis of Design documents. Perform HVAC load calculations. Analyze existing and design new HVAC systems. Coordinate with architect, structural engineer, and other disciplines. Edit mechanical engineering specifications per project requirements. Prepare construction documents for bids and permits. Review and ensure IMC, ASHRAE, and LEED compliance per project requirements. Review submittals and shop drawings. Provide responses to RFIs. Perform above ceiling and final punch and prepare punch list documents. Perform commissioning of mechanical equipment and preparing commissioning reports. #GTM
Qualifications
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field plus four years of experience in a Mechanical engineering position required. Required skills: (1) Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC nomenclature, design techniques, materials, system components, construction techniques, related engineering systems, and building codes; (2) experience with reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical documents, specifications, technical procedures, and government regulations; (3) CAD; (4) Revit; (5) Trane TRACE; (6) experience with preparing comprehensive reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Professional Engineer License required. 10% domestic travel required. $122,221/yr.
