Gandy Animal Hospital is looking for a Medical Director (Managing Veterinarian) to lead our small animal clinic! This role may be eligible for a part-ownership role in the hospital and a $25K sign-on bonus!

Gandy Animal Hospital is a well-equipped spacious General Practice conveniently located in South Tampa and is under new leadership! We have been proudly serving the Tampa, South Tampa & the Greater Tampa Bay Areas for over 30 years and are now bringing a fresh new approach to high-quality veterinary care.

Our practice offers a wide range of medical, dental, and surgical treatment options to a diverse clientele. Our Managing Veterinarian, Dr. Gary Minder, has over 30 years of experience in General practice and emergency medicine and our support staff is highly educated. We utilize the most-advanced equipment and technology in the veterinary field today, ensuring pets are given the highest quality of medicine. Being a 4-time consecutive AAHA accredited veterinary clinic is something we hold to the utmost, and we strive every day to carry those standards in every aspect of our practice.

Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience working as a veterinarian.

Responsibilities:

The Medical Director is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance. The Medical Director is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine is delivered.

In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Medical Director is responsible for the financial performance of the hospital, preparing operating and capital budgets, and meeting budget expectations. In addition, the Hospital Manager and Medical Director are responsible for directing staff and the overall management of the practice, under the direction of NVA Divisional Leadership.
