Responsibilities Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Washington State is recruiting for an experienced Intensivist to join our regional team. We are looking for physicians who thrive in a highly collaborative environment, have a passion for resident and staff education, and have an interest in quality improvement. Virginia Mason Franciscan Health's Critical Care and Intensive Care units are fully equipped and ready to take care of our community's most seriously ill patients as they begin their road to recovery. Our staff are specially trained to care for the most complex conditions. Patients who visit us include those who have just completed complex surgeries, such as open-heart surgery or vascular procedures, or those who have suffered multiple injuries. These units provide 24-hour monitoring by critical care nurses trained to meet the high demands of this special patient care. Virginia Mason Franciscan Health has eight critical and intensive care units located throughout Washington state, including: * St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma * St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way * St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood * St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor * St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw * St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale * St. Anne Hospital in Burien * Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle Responsibilities Responsibilities will include direct patient care, involvement in unit operations and leading daily multidisciplinary rounds. Positions are available to work at a single site or at multiple sites. We work on a rotating schedule with a mix of day shifts and night shifts. The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to be part of a collaborative, quality driven team with a commitment to providing evidence-based care to the patients we serve. Qualifications Qualifications * ABA or ABIM Board-Certified Critical Care * Candidates boarded in Emergency Medicine will be considered * 2+ years of experience * Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA * Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice * Authorized to work in the United States. We are not offering Visa support assistance for this position. Pay Range $150.00 - $182.69 /hour
