As a Product Assembly Technician, you play a critical hands-on role as you turn components and parts into fully operational, home electronics. By adhering to set standards and procedures while exercising strong attention to detail, you ensure products delivered to customers exceed their expectations of quality.  

Responsibilities

  • Initial Inspection: Conduct examination of raw materials and components to ensure they meet quality standards before beginning the assembly process.
  • Workspace Preparation:  Gather and organize all required materials and components before beginning the assembly process while ensuring accountability of inventory.
  • Subassembly Formation: Follow a predefined assembly sequence for each subassembly and component.
  • Product Assembly: Assemble the product consisting of 30+ components, including plastic and electronic parts. Using hand-tools, follow detailed assembly instructions to combine various subassemblies and materials into the final product. 
  • Final Inspection: Meticulous inspection of the fully assembled product to ensure it meets all quality standards and specifications with no visual defects.
  • Performance Testing: Verify the functionality of each unit ensuring the unit powers up, is programmed correctly, and operates in accordance with set standards.
  • Packaging & Fulfillment: Fold and prepare custom inserts and shipping boxes to ensure each product is secured properly. Once packaging materials are prepared, package the product and finalize for fulfillment by labeling and organizing for shipment.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Actively identify opportunities for improvement within processes and workflows to enhance the overall assembly process.

Requirements

  • Minimum education requirements of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to navigate step-by-step procedures
  • Basic computer skills required as you’ll need to navigate our software systems used for quality & performance testing and shipping & fulfillment
  • Preferred: Work Experience in Assembly, Inventory Management, or Manufacturing
  • The ability to lift 25-50 pounds routinely
  • Reliable transportation
  • Hiring is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen

Benefits

Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience with starting pay rate at $17/hour.
