About the Role
The organization is seeking a dynamic Chief Investment Officer and Vice President to spearhead the management of its substantial investment portfolio. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in formulating and endorsing a comprehensive investment policy, asset allocation, and strategy, with a keen focus on integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and promoting manager diversity.
This role entails overseeing the implementation and continuous management of the investment strategy, selecting and supervising external investment managers, and ensuring robust engagement with the Investment Committee. You will be responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting on investment performance and leading a dedicated investment team of 17 professionals, fully aligned with our mission and core values.
Ideal candidates will possess a proven leadership background with a minimum of 15 years in investing and related sectors, including at least 10 years in a leadership role. A demonstrated ability to deliver strong, risk-adjusted returns while managing large portfolios is essential. Candidates must exhibit the highest level of ethics and integrity and be fully committed to the organization's mission.
The desired qualifications include a Master's degree, CFA, or other advanced degrees in relevant fields, complemented by exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities. A solid technical understanding of modern portfolio theory, derivatives, and overlay strategies is necessary to lead the investment capability effectively.
