Irvine, CA Full-time $150,000.00 - $175,000.00Posted 11/14/2024Director of Forward PlanningPosition OverviewThe Director of Forward Planning is responsible for leading and managing the forward planning processes within the organization, ensuring that land use, entitlements, and residential development projects align with strategic goals. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to facilitate well-planned, sustainable community developments that meet regulatory requirements and community needs.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the forward planning department, providing strategic direction and oversight.Manage the entitlements process for residential projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations.Develop and implement land planning strategies that support sustainable development.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to evaluate land use proposals and designs.Conduct market analysis to inform planning decisions and identify opportunities for new residential developments.Engage with community stakeholders to gather feedback and address concerns related to planning initiatives.Prepare and present reports to senior management and stakeholders on planning activities and project statuses.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in forward planning, land use, and entitlements, preferably in residential development.Strong understanding of zoning laws, development regulations, and environmental policies.Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of stakeholder engagement.Proficiency in planning software and tools, as well as data analysis capabilities.BenefitsBonus401kMedical, Dental, VisionFor this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
