Manufacturing Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and supporting the design and development of innovative medical equipment and patient support structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for medical and surgical equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new products and optimize existing manufacturing processes.
- Conduct testing and validation of products to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize CAD software, specifically SolidWorks, for designing components and assemblies.
- Perform material selection and testing to ensure strength, stability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in vendor selection and management to secure quality materials and components.
- Document design history and ensure compliance with quality systems and regulations.
- Provide technical input for sustaining engineering and product improvement initiatives.
- Manage projects, including timelines, resources, and communications with stakeholders.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety procedures in the manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software, especially SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Experience with electromechanical systems, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials developments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collect and analyze data.
- Experience with quality control inspection and material review board processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, including UL508A, OSHA, and NFPA codes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a positive attitude and creative thinking.
- Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
