Description

The Superintendent - Renovations/Capital Improvement - Reston, VA will be responsible for:

• Overseeing field operations for large-scale commercial construction projects valued between $200k - $5 million
• Managing subcontractor performance and coordination
• Collaborating closely with the Project Manager to execute all project duties
• Handling project start-up and close-out activities
• Maintaining a thorough understanding of and adherence to all project contract documents
• Providing leadership and mentorship to support the development of other Superintendents
• Coordinating the alignment of the final project budget with the Project Manager
• Leading pre-construction meetings with subcontractors
• Preparing daily reports, look-ahead schedules, safety inspection reports, incident reports, material delivery tickets, and
• investigation reports
• Identifying and addressing any job-site issues or challenges
• Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with all safety procedures

Profile

The Superintendent - Renovations/Capital Improvement - Reston, VA will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• 5-8 years of industry experience
• Proven experience overseeing large-scale, complex commercial construction projects under $25 million
• Demonstrated success in leading job-site teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with CMiC and Bluebeam preferred
• OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications required
