Description
- Manage distributors to achieve targets in shipments, depletions, and distribution.
- Ensure compliance and effective execution across all channels of trade.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels aligned with annual program goals.
- Contribute to the development of an annual business plan for the designated market.
- Design and implement brand programs and strategies within a geographic area.
- Enhance wholesalers' capabilities to execute brand strategies.
- Call on retail, on-premise, and chain accounts independently or with the distributor sales team.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of products, competitive markets, and customer needs.
- Represent supplier brands professionally and effectively.
- Oversee financial aspects, including budgets and promotional spending.
- Solicit sales, develop new accounts, and manage existing relationships with corporate approval.
- Conduct wine tastings and dinners, and provide training for account staff.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Profile
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in wine manufacturing or distribution, ideally 7 years.
- Track Record: Proven success in account management and business development.
- Versatility: Comfortable in a small company environment, able to multitask and take ownership.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in interpreting financial data relevant to the companies' business.
- Candidates from smaller wine manufacturers or distributors are ideal.
Job Offer
- $90,000 - $110,000 base salary
- Annual bonus, based on sales performance and paid quarterly
