What You'll Do
The Project Manager manages all aspects of the product development life cycle from inception through end of life for custom rechargeable batteries, chargers, and power supplies. This role includes managing a global cross functional team within the organization to meet the customers' needs and is responsible for managing the triple constraint, Scope, Schedule, and Cost. Also, the Project Manager is the key customer point of contact upon kickoff and requires the ability to present and communicate effectively externally, and internally, at an executive level.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager with 2 to 3 years of experience in managing New Product Development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. Proven experience with managing a product through the development phases and coordinating launch into the respective Factory is desired.

Responsibilities (Including other duties as assigned)
- Lead and manage NPI projects (Scope, Schedule, Cost) from concept to launch, ensuring all project milestones are met.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and manufacturing teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Conduct regular project meetings to review progress and address concerns/issues, fostering a collaborative work environment and facilitating information sharing amongst team members.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Communicate project status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Act as the primary interface and escalation point for customers during development phases.
- Support Sales team in creating proposals and quotes to win new business.
- Assist in continuous improvement of key Process areas of the New Product Development Process.
- Support and manage the established PMO metrics.
What You Will Need
- College Degree in Technical Background Preferred.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in project management, specifically in New Product Development (NPD / NPI) of Electro / Mechanical products Highly preferred.
- Managing projects of 10+ team members
- Ability to be Customer Facing required.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools: Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Excel, Power Point.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
What Sets you apart
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Product Development of Batteries, Military/Medical products strongly preferred.
- Managing Global teams of 20+ members
- PMP Certified.
- Ability to facilitate Customer Facing Project Presentations: Phase Gate reviews, Quarterly reviews etc.
- Deep understanding of Manufacturing, Test and Quality engineering activities bringing products to market.
- Experience supporting Global Sourcing teams for custom components, tooling, fixturing and external (outsourced) vendors & suppliers (PCBs manufacturers, Injection Molding, Test Labs, Contractors).
