SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is seeking a Supply Technician to work full time for SJS Executives to help support Naval operations at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown.
SJS is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with 250 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia; it specializes in professional services to support federal and military organizations.
The Supply Technician shall provide services necessary to perform limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.
He or she must possess these key qualifications to be eligible for this position:
- Four (4) years' recent and previous experience in a Supply/Logistics dealing with inventory control.
- Working knowledge of defense systems and equipment, and Navy Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) database.
Pay for this position: $29.50/hr. The benefits will also include 11 paid Federal holidays per year, 56 hours accrued Sick time; and medical, health, dental, vision and life insurance package.
The right candidate will have strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office products suites, sound knowledge of comparative data analyst of information pulled from various systems and understanding of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Shall be responsible for causative research and technical editing of various material and service requirements.
- Validation of correct national stock numbers and/or part numbers using various data systems e.g.: Federal Logistics Information Systems (FLIS), Allowance Parts List (APL), Allowance Equipment List (AEL), and other technical manuals.
- Shall receive material and services requirements, and submit to designated supply requisitioning activities or non-standard sources
- Update material status spreadsheet/database with delivery dates, Transportation Control Numbers (TCN) and all other related data elements.
- Assist the government credit card purchase holder in preparing a monthly credit buy receipt and invoice report and process the receipts in Enterprise Resource Program (ERP).
- Shall inventory and store to proper locations, materials received from various activities for further shipment to end users. This includes creating listings and entering the NSN FLIS data.
- Must have the expertise in requisitioning procedures, warehouse operations, storage procedures, shipping and transportation of materials.
- Must have broad knowledge of NAVSUP policies, procedures, and directives.
- Must have knowledge in Navy Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) database, and Microsoft Office Professional applications including Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point.
- Minimum four (4) years' supply experience performing tasks similar to those defined in the responsibilities.
- Due to nature and security of the position, must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation; please note the background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US Department of Justice guidelines for work on a military installation.
