Psychologist Opening - Blythe, CA - Blythe: located 74 miles from Joshua Tree National Park; 120 miles from Palm Springs; 150 miles from Phoenix, AZ Position Details: - Full-time, permanent position- Salary range based on education; $120K-$140K- Housing Stipend (six months)- Sign-On Bonus- Relocation Assistance.- Great benefits: Medical is covered for Provider 100%. If the hired Provider chooses chooses to see the health system's physicians, it is free for them and their family.- 403B retirement- Loan Repayment- Candidates must have CA license in-hand- NHSC loan student loan repayment is available- Immediate vacancies are available, however start date can be flexible.- Spanish-speaking is a plus but not required. Responsibilities: - Conducts clinical interviews to gather information, assess patient needs, determine the appropriate need, and develop diagnostic information.- Provide short-term, structured, evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling as part of a treatment plan.- Provides psychological testing for commonly encountered pathologies in children, adolescents, adults and seniors.- Provides Psychoeducation and evidence-based information to be used during Individualized Educational Plans (IEPS) to determine need for special education and related school-based services.- Provides Clinical therapeutic services to patients across the lifespan, including individual and group therapy and coordination of treatment for participants with co-occurring disorders.- Participate in the development of patients' individualized care plans, in a timely and thorough manner.- Provide treatment to assigned patients within the scope of practice, meeting program/department productivity and quality standards.- Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic services as needed in different clinics.- Coordinates and collaborate with Primary Care Providers, Behavioral Health Coordinator, Care managers, Substance Abuse Counselor, Medical Director of Behavioral Health, Chief Medical Officer and other Staff to improve health outcomes.- Facilitates referrals to other services and allied agencies as needed.- Works closely with other Behavioral health clinicians and staff as needed to coordinate care.- Meets patient needs effectively and resolve individual barriers through follow-up, advocacy, and collaboration with other staff and community service providers.- Serves as a mandated Child Protective Services (CPS) and Adult/Elder Abuse reporter.- Maintains accurate and timely records of activities, case management/progress notes, and services provided to each patient.- Facilitates and participates in chart reviews and audits of behavioral health clinicians.- Completes paperwork/documentation to support mental health billing in a timely manner.- Attends and participates in a variety of internal and external meetings.- Engages in and facilitates outreach initiatives as needed.- Proactively provides clinical supervision and/or peer consultation to unlicensed clinicians (ASWs, AMFTs, doctoral psychology students, psychological associates/Postdocs, etc) that are obtaining training hours and approves documentation.- Performs related duties as assigned. Qualifications: (Minimum:)- Four (4) years of experience in a behavioral health care agency providing direct mental health related services to patients, which should include identifying patient mental health needs, using community resources, and advocacy.- Possession of a Doctorate Degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in psychology, and licensed by the California Board of Psychology.- Knowledge of Professional Code of Ethics and Values.- General understanding of the most recent Diagnostic manual.- General knowledge and understanding of Evidence Based Practices such as CBT, DBT, ACT, etc.- General knowledge of behavioral health counseling skills including; the ability to perform biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, supportive therapy, and coping skills development.- Knowledge of, or the ability to find resources for patients and the ability to link and refer patients as needed.- General computer skills including the ability to use an Electronic Health Record system.-CPR Certified(Desired Qualifications:)- Bi-lingual English/ Spanish desired- Knowledge of providing culturally competent services to a variety of diverse patients- Experience in providing supervision to license eligible psychologists and student trainees- Graduated and completed pre-doctoral internship at an APA accredited site.
