Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Position Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Position: OBGYN Physician Location: MA Start Date: November 2024 Length/Need: 2 physicians needed, 6 months or more Travel & Lodging will be covered or reimbursed Medical Malpractice will be covered Schedule: * Clinic + Call (not 2 weeks on and 2 off) * 2nd Call / Backup * Avg call 24 hr. Details: * Practice Setting- Inpatient & Outpatient * Patient Load: 40 deliveries per month, Nursery Level is 2B * Dedicated Anesthesia team to L&D 24 hrs. * 950 deliveries per year Procedures & skills required: * Low risk pregnancy, High risk pregnancy * FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE * OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation * Level I/Screening (viability) * Level II/Targeted (anatomic) * Amniocentesis, Routine delivery, Vagina, Low forceps * Decision-making for c-section * Complicated delivery, C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's * Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations * Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc. * Surgical gynecology - Open * Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation * Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's * Laser certification Requirements: * Board Certified * Active MA license * BLS, ACLS * Clean Malpractice
