Specialty : Pathology Start date : ASAP ; End date : Ongoing Coverage type: No Call SCHEDULE : * Monday- Friday 8am -4pm JOB DESCRIPTION : * Practice Setting: Hospital-based general surgical pathology practice * Reason for Coverage: One pathologist is leaving in September * Dates of Coverage: Dates in November * Laboratory Hold: CAP, CLIA, AABB * Number of Cases Read Per Day: Approximately 30 * Physicians in the Group: 3 * Histotechnologists: 4 * Pathology Assistants: 1 * Cytotechnologists: 1 * Other Pathologists Present During Coverage: Yes * Equipment: Usual AP equipment, including Thermo Scientific Cryostat and Olympus Microscopes * Method of Preparation: ThinPrep * Required Anatomic Pathology Procedures: Surgical Pathology, GI Pathology, GU Pathology, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, Cytology * Average Number of Patients Per Day: 30 * Documentation System/EMR: PowerPath and Cerner * Trauma Level/Designation: Level 1 SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS : * Clean Background- highly preferred * Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pathology - REQUIRED * NJ license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
