DutiesServe as the Chief, Adjutant General Branch and INSCOM HHC S-1 with specific responsibility for providing technical expertise regarding the military HR management program.Oversee the administrative and technical management of the staff engaged in providing military personnel services and implementing Military Personnel Actions Programs.Develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence to commanders, managers, supervisors and employees.Make periodic and special staff visits to provide advice and assistance and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentAppointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.Two year trial/probationary period may be required.In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI).All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 25% or less of the time. Specialized experience is defined as experience with technical and administrative management of military personnel action programs (i.e., promotions, retirements, transfer, military schooling, awards, etc.) This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13). The selectee may be given administrative return rights. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years.
