We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Business Systems to join our team and oversee the administration and maintenance of business systems, ensuring they are operating efficiently and effectively.The Senior Business Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of business systems and technology solutions that support the organization’s operational and strategic objectives. This role requires a highly technical skilled leader with a deep understanding of business processes, project management, technology integration and great people and team building skills.  In addition to technical skill, the candidate needs to have a keen understanding of the Strategic role of IT coordinating across internal IT departments / areas as well as vendors to help set goals and priorities driven by our strategic objectives.  Have a proven track record of leading initiatives that have significantly enhanced business operations.  The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a commitment to mentoring junior team members; along with effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal leaders and stakeholders while leading cross-functional teams to drive system improvements and ensure alignment with business goals. Building strong working relationships will be key to driving continuous improvement and achieving exceptional results.Job Responsibilities:Lead projects/teams including creation and management of project plans in alignment with overall program goals.Monitor and manage the coordination of activities within a team, implement policies and execute plans.Proactively collaborate and engage with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders including vendors to ensure achievement of project outcomes.Lead systems for governance, monitoring, review, and control of processes and functions performed by the department.Support development of team budget, and actively track and manage budget.Engage in hiring, performance management, and other people processes with greater independence.Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.Maintains regular and predictable attendance.Minimum Education and/or Training:Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, data science, information science or related field required.Master's degree preferred.Minimum Experience:8+ years of IT experience with experience managing small/mid-size teams.Extensive experience leading projects/processes end to end including resource and vendor management, and communication and collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and external partners preferred.Very strong collaboration, negotiation, and influence capability highly preferred.Experience in leading large projects.Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus.Possess a strong business and customer/client focus.Ability to work directly with customers, understanding and fulfilling their needs in a competent manner.Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical employees.Ability to learn new technologies quickly, step outside your own comfort zone and handle unfamiliar challenges enthusiastically.Experience tracking and managing financials to a defined budget.Possess advanced system analysis techniques, principles, practices and technical process, mapping and design experience.Ability to prepare workflow analysis.Should be experienced with broad set of corporate IT initiatives and applications like ServiceNow, Workday, Concur and other business SaaS applications and emerging solutions.Experience using integration technologies such as APIs, ESB/Middleware, and web services to allow for data exchange and communication between multiple systems.Possess critical thinking and investigation skills.SQL experience.Expertise in system design implementation development and user support principles.Vendor relationship/accountability management experience.Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Experience leading complex projects/delivery in terms of resources, vendors, and budgets.Experience managing teams in a supervisory/ leadership capacity.Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.CompensationIn recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
