Our Accessories & Footwear business is a global leader in the Home, Hardgoods, Accessories, and Footwear categories, with over 800 colleagues worldwide. We maintain a strong presence in major sourcing regions, ensuring seamless supply chain management with team members in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, and other key locations. Our customers include leading retailers across the US, Europe, Australia, Canada, the UK, and Korea.

We are seeking an experienced professional for the position of Director - Business Development to drive growth and enhance our business in the Accessories & Footwear industry. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing strategic business plans, managing key customer relationships, and keeping pace with industry trends and market dynamics.

Business Development and Growth:
  • Drive, develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand the company's customer base and grow the business
  • Ensure achievement of revenue targets and drive new business by identifying new customer opportunities, create/execute business proposals, building customer loyalty, support and promote business strategy and initiatives
  • Implement business development strategy for merchandise category, channel and cost structure
  • Develop and execute business and marketing plan to exploit all potential internal and external customer opportunities
  • Fully utilize all opportunities to gain introductions to new customers
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with overarching business objectives.
Account Management and Relationship Building:
  • Create and enhance long-term relationships with customers to maximize business growth and opportunities
  • Leverage your industry insights to maximize sales potential.
  • Conduct regular and insightful business reviews with our valued customers.
Market Analysis and Competitor Research:
  • Stay updated on Accessories & Footwear industry trends, consumer preferences, and the competitive landscape.
  • Analyze market data and customer feedback to formulate tailored sales strategies.
  • Monitor competitor activities and seize advantageous opportunities.
Team Building and Development:
  • Partner with best-in-class global sourcing team to achieve full potential.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven sales culture that thrives on service, innovation and excellence.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the Accessories & Footwear industry, encompassing various segments such as full-price, off-price, and big box.
  • A proven track record of consistently achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • An in-depth comprehension of Accessories & Footwear pricing structures, market dynamics, and evolving consumer trends.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a proactive and strategic approach.
  • Proficiency in analyzing market data to generate actionable insights.
  • Strong leadership acumen.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Suite.
Compensation/Benefits:
  • The approximate annual base salary for this position starts $150,000.00 with the final offer contingent upon role requirements, skill set, and years of experience.
