We seek a strategic and results-driven professional to join our leadership team as the Director of Operations. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with strategic goals. A key focus area for this position is the successful planning and execution of events and conferences, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated into the organization's operational framework and contribute to its strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies that align with organizational goals and collaborating with senior leadership on strategy execution.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Fostering communication and collaboration across teams and aligning operational processes with organizational strategies.
  • Optimize the allocation of personnel, budget, and technology, as well as managing operational budgets.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting performance trends and areas for improvement to leadership.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations and policies and implements risk management strategies.
  • Oversees relationships with vendors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Lead and mentor the operations team, promoting a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Event Planning and Conference Coordination:
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of events and conferences, ensuring they align with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Manage the event planning process, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Oversee the logistics of events, such as venue selection, catering, audio-visual equipment, and transportation.
  • Develop and implement event timelines and checklists to ensure all aspects of the event are executed efficiently.
  • Work with marketing and communications teams to promote events and conferences effectively.
  • Analyze event performance data and provide post-event reports to evaluate success and areas for improvement.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Three - five years proven experience in a senior operational leadership role, demonstrating a track record of driving process improvements and operational excellence, as well as experience in managing cross-functional teams, complex projects, and conference and meeting planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team are required, as well as a collaborative approach and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and contribute to the overall vision of the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment is necessary, along with the flexibility to adjust strategies based on changing circumstances.
